The Secret

The Secret by Rhonda Byrne tells you the secret of the universe. The essence of the book is Law Of Attraction, yes the secret is LOA. Honestly, “The Secret” isn’t the first book to come up with the theory of the law of attraction, and any internet search will come up with thousands of articles and books on the subject. But it’s the first I’ve seen to put the law of attraction so simply. And it’s the first I’ve ever seen that has had so many quotes from so many sources (including the Bible) and so many contributors, including scientists, doctors, life and business coaches, authors, ministers, and metaphysicians from both the past and the present.

The Secret is The Law of Attraction. This is a concept that states that whatever is going on in your mind will be attracted into your life. Therefore, think thoughts of abundance and wealth – and let no contradictory thoughts in – and you can have anything you want. Likewise, thinking about negative things in your life will only produce more negativity. In essence, The Secret explains that the intentions in your mind send instructions to the Universe and you get exactly what you think about. The process is broken down into three steps: ask, believe, and receive.

The Law of Attraction goes beyond positive thinking. The book emphasizes the use of visualization techniques, gratitude, faith and affirmations to help focus your mental energy. The overall concept requires that the individual believes strongly in the process. Believing is defined as “acting, thinking and speaking as if you have already received what you are asking for.”

The book describes The Secret through the voices of many highly successful experts from many different fields including philosophers, psychologists, life coaches, motivational speakers, and business professionals. Each explains their understanding of the Law of Attraction and how it affects reality. The underlying theme is all the same: you are the creator of your own destiny. Your thoughts have the power to manifest your desires.

The Law of Attraction is no mystery. It always attracts exactly what we ask for. Wallace Wattles, one of the early authors on the Law of Attraction wrote: "There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made...which fills the interspaces of the universe... A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imagined by the thought.... In order to do this, man must pass from the competitive to the creative mind...."

This is what Quantum Physics is telling us now. That energy can be a wave or a particle, and Neils Bohr discovered that its form is totally dependent upon what the observer expects. And, if, while looking into a glass of waves, the observer is convinced that they are particles, they will change to suit his belief! What does this mean? It means that we are creators. We just need to apply the appropriate system to manifest whatever we want in our lives.

So why aren't we all rich and happy? Because we haven't learned to implement the system. Our lives are definitely manifested, but as our emotions flip-flop from day to day, so does our creation, our life.

Napoleon Hill was clear: “If you're one of those that believe that hard work and honesty, alone, will bring riches, perish the thought! It's not true! Riches, when they come in huge quantities, are never the result of hard work alone! Riches come, if they come at all, in response to DEFINITE DEMANDS, based upon the application of DEFINITE PRINCIPLES, and not by chance or luck.” He was talking about the Law of Attraction although he never named it.

Hill, after studying almost 500 of the most successful people of his era wrote further: “Once you apply the process, when riches begin to come, they come so quickly, and in such great abundance that one wonders where they have been hiding during all those lean years.”

The Energy of the Universe flows according to your thoughts. What you think you can, you can and what you think you can't, you can't. Your Thought becomes Things!

Trust Your Heart, Do you?

Hello Dear,

Do you trust yourself? What a silly question to ask, isn't it? Everybody do trust themselves! But here I am asking about your inner-self. Does your inner subconscious self believe in your external conscious self? Think about it. Still not clear? How often you break your own promises like 'I will get up early tomorrow' or 'I will clean my room today itself' or 'I will not smoke today' or 'I will not lie to my parents or partner'. Every time you break your promises you are giving your subconscious self a message that your conscious self is a liar. Do you believe in a person whom you know as a liar? Never. When you break these small-small promises of yours, your inner-self loses the belief in you. And when a challenge comes to your way and when your conscious-self prepares to face the challenge your subconscious self says to you "No I don't trust you, do not take the challenge, you never keep your promises". You eventually end up with running away from the challenge.

Now the question arises "How can I make my subconscious self-believe me?" You cannot do that by giving commands to your inner-self as it doesn't understand commands. The only way is to make your subconscious self feel that you are a trustworthy person. Give your inner-self promises that can be achieved very easily, only those promises which you can keep and always keep those promises. For example, 'Tomorrow I will get up half an hour earlier than I did today' Keep that promise and then feel good about that. It is very important to feel good about that, as the feeling is the process of passing the message to your inner-self that 'Now you can start to trust me'. Stop giving excuses like 'Yesterday I slept late, so not able to get up early today, tomorrow I will get up early for sure'. All these excuses picturize you as a cheater who finds out silly excuses for not keeping your promises. "Always keep your promises".

Let's begin now itself, start giving small promises to yourself. Always keep your promises and let's get ready to face any challenges in life that you believe you can conquer.

Jai Hind.
